Is Your Team Rowing in the Same Direction?
Executive relationships are complex. If managed well, the challenging periods will strengthen and grow your range as a team. If managed poorly, conflict results in costly org changes that ripple through your company.
I offer a combination of interpersonal coaching, personality typing, feedback training, and mediation to help co-founders and executives navigate issues and build stronger relationships.
My Approach:
Executive teams deliver results when bringing together a diverse group of leaders who have different strengths and weaknesses and who can navigate differences to set and achieve team goals.
Below is my process for helping teams navigate differences and turn this tension into growth rather than dysfunction:
-Personality Typing - Being able to articulate your strengths and weaknesses helps your team to argue and execute.
-Communication Training - The next critical skill for executive teams is the ability for every member to navigate conflict. Conflict allows you to get to the best idea and result, but requires, each member to lean into conflict.
-Process Change - From meetings to goal-setting to project ownership and management, organizational processes impact team dynamics and results. Processes must change as your company and team evolve.
Interpersonal Coaching
Improving founder and team dynamics begins with building awareness of your tension points. This includes tactical issues (roles, expectations, and more) as well as personality and communication styles. I use a variety of frameworks to help you articulate your challenges as well as understand one another’s communication styles, both of which are at the core of most team tension.
Feedback Training
I teach teams in-depth skills on how to successfully deliver and receive feedback. These skills allow you to surface and resolve issues more effectively.
This part of our work together will lead to breakthroughs on current issues and create a lasting cultural impact on how to navigate hard topics in the future.
Process Changes
Strong teams need new processes to build trust and better results. Processes run the gamut from team meetings, to compensation structure, to communication practices (including Zoom, Slack, and other best practices).
Improving communication and building better team processes is the two-way street that allows you and your team to operate more effectively together.
